Background of the Study
Energy management plays a critical role in ensuring a reliable and efficient supply of electricity, particularly in regions like Kaduna State, where the energy demand often exceeds supply, leading to inefficiencies and power outages. The Kaduna Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO) is responsible for the distribution of electricity to a large population in the state. However, the company faces significant challenges in optimizing energy distribution, especially with fluctuating demand and the integration of renewable energy sources. Traditional optimization techniques often fail to handle the complexity and dynamic nature of modern energy systems.
Quantum-inspired optimization techniques, which borrow principles from quantum computing, present a promising solution to these challenges. Statement of the Problem
Kaduna Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO) faces persistent challenges in efficiently managing energy distribution due to fluctuating demand and limited infrastructure.
